.  From the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Sir David Webster, General Administrator, presented by S. Hurok.  Principal dancers include Deanne Bargsma, Svetlana Beriosova, Michael Coleman, Anthony Dowell, Desmond Doyle, Leslie Edwards, Margot Fonteyne, Alexander Grant, Stanley Holden, Ronald Hynd, Gerd Larsen, Vyvyan Lorrayne, Donald MacLeary, Kenneth Mason, Monica Mason, Robert Mead, Rudolf Nureyev, Merle Park, Georgina Parkinson, Keith Rosson, Brian Shaw and Antoinette Sibley
.  Directed by Frederic Ashton with John Lanchbery as principal conductor.  The photo was taken standing on a step ladder, hence the slanted appearance, but the poster is rectangular.  Some of the posters have minor tears or short creases in the folds which have been repaired on the back with thin archive tape.
Condition is near excellent with repaired wear and very light staining.
3 Sheet Posters
are advertising theatre posters printed on heavy paper and usually come folded in more than one section like old billboards — hence the name.  Commonly displayed in subway stations and most famously in areas like Shubert Alley in Manhattan’s Theatre District.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
